Fees & Rebates
Psychlife
Our Fees are consistent with Australian Psychological Society and Medicare guidelines.
Please contact us for further information about consultation fees.
Medicare Rebate
You may be eligible to claim a rebate of $129.50 for a 50-minute consultation, up to 10 consultations in a calendar year.
To receive this rebate your General Practitioner must provide you a referral under the Better Access to Mental Health Treatment Programme. Please contact us for further information about the gap payment.
Health Fund Rebates
Your private health insurer may also offer coverage for psychology services.
Please contact your insurance provider for information as rebates between health funds vary and some do not offer any rebates.
Third Party
You can book an appointment where a third party is involved (Worker’s Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident Authority claims) and the insurer has accepted the liability.
No Referral?
No worries. Appointments are also available to those without the Mental Health Treatment Plan or private health insurance. Please contact us for further information about consultation fees.
Payment Terms
Payment is by cash, credit card (Visa and MasterCard) or eftpos at the time of your appointment. Where third party is involved (Worker’s Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident Authority claims) and the insurer has accepted the liability, the sessions will be billed to them directly.
Cancellations, No Shows, and Appointment Changes
When you engage in therapy it is assumed that you have made a commitment to attend those appointments reserved for you. If you are unable to attend your reserved appointment it is important to give at least 48 hours notice so that your scheduled appointment can be offered to another client.
The 50% of the full fee is payable in those instances where less than 48 business hours is given for cancelled or rescheduled appointments or where clients fail to show for booked appointments. Medicare Rebates or approved WorkCover sessions are not available for payments on late cancellations.
