She provides psychological services for adults (21+) in all life stages. She is a registered Medicare and Worker’s Compensation provider.
Ivana has a specialty interest in trauma, anxiety, depression resistant to change, low self-esteem, problems with relationships, adjustment to difficult life events, eating disorders and pain management.
Sleep is a fundamental part of our lives, and when we do not get adequate sleep, we find it difficult to function physically and mentally. Sleep issues and disturbances are very common and can be caused by a number of different reasons. Some underlying issues which can cause sleep disturbance are chronic pain, medical issues (asthma, sleep apnoea), psychological disorders (anxiety, depression, stress), environmental issues (snoring partner, children, pets).
It is common for people to experience short-term sleeping issues due to environmental factors, but it’s when these issues become long-term problems that they should be addressed.
Understanding sleep disturbance and why it occurs can help you to manage your symptoms and eventually overcome your sleep issues. We work with our patients to find out the cause of their sleep issues, whether the problem might be related to another underlying issue, then, together we find the most appropriate treatment plan. Our aim is to get you into a good sleeping habit so that you can return to having a good night sleep.
